Project story

Auckland International Airport is the gateway to the nation’s booming tourism trade, with 75% of all international visitors welcomed through its doors. With its international terminal home to 12,000 staff and open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the airport’s smooth running is of maximum importance.

Brought aboard Auckland Airport’s management framework in early 2015, our people were appointed to provide project management services, which first involved design management for a number of major projects unfolding on site. These include domestic processor and extending one of the airport's piers, alongside works associated with the overall terminal development plan.

Upon the framework’s successful completion in 2020, Auckland International Airport will be fully equipped to embrace its role as New Zealand’s future-proofed gateway to the world, and to continue to welcome approximately ten million international passengers each year.

Points of note

On time, within budget

Bringing our world class knowledge of constructability and logistics, our people were able to advise on the complex architectural and engineering design of the airport’s development scheme. In our dual role of project manager and preconstruction strategist, we are committed to ensure the project is safely delivered on time and within budget.

Live from Auckland

With a longstanding background in aviation, our people are adept in handling the challenge of major redevelopments taking place in a live airport environment. Our international aviation experience includes the delivery of London Heathrow’s iconic Terminal 5, and airports in Dublin, Ireland, and Doha, Qatar. We’re pleased to transfer the same expert efficiency to this ambitious project in New Zealand.
