Mace going for gold at RoSPA awards

The 2017 RoSPA awards were held in June to mark Health and Safety Week, and Mace received a total of 10 awards across its business units.

These included gold medals for Mace’s infrastructure and aviation, logistics and MEP business units, which represent five years or more of consistently achieving RoSPA’s gold standard.

The RoSPA awards recognise organisations' commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill-health prevention at work. The scheme is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, with judges considering entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

The nine Mace business units that won gold awards were Mace Logistics, Como, Macro, MEP, commercial offices, residential, international contracting, infrastructure and aviation and public sector (PREACH). Mace’s regions business unit was awarded a silver standard award.

Andrew Brown, Mace’s Group Health and Safety Director, said:

“This is another hugely successful year at the RoSPA awards for Mace. We recognise that everyone in the company has a key role to play in ensuring that all of us go home safely at the end of the day, every day. ‘Safety First’ is one of our core values, and these awards are a testament to our people’s hard work and long-term commitment to that value across Mace.”
