Working with SM Prime Holdings, one of Southeast Asia’s largest and most diverse property developers, Mace Consult is providing project management consultancy services for SM ASH. The mixed-use development is located within a master-planned estate in Cebu, Philippines and will include the SM Seaside Cebu Arena, SMX Convention Centre Seaside Cebu, Radisson Hotel Cebu and Park Inn by Radisson Cebu. Once completed, the entire complex will be a major destination for business, tourism, entertainment, and hospitality.
Working as part of an integrated project delivery team, Mace Consult’s role spans project and design management, programme controls, procurement support, quality assurance and risk management. Mace Consult is also overseeing supply chain and stakeholder management, drawing on previous experience in navigating the complexity of a programme with multiple venues, hotels, contractors and suppliers. As design requirements evolved and technical challenges emerged during delivery, Mace Consult provided the leadership, coordination and management needed to align delivery teams, resolve issues and maintain progress across the programme. The team also supported phased handovers to meet operational requirements, helping the client balance construction activities with readiness for opening.
With the recent completion of the SM Seaside Cebu Arena, one of the largest indoor arenas in the country with an overall capacity of 25,000 people, the development is beginning to realise its vision of establishing Cebu as a leading destination for tourism. Complementing the arena is the SMX Convention Centre Seaside Cebu, offering more than 40,000 square metres of gross floor area, 21,000 square metres of flexible event space and a capacity for up to 18,000 delegates. Together with the 200-room Radisson Hotel Cebu and 300-room Park Inn by Radisson Cebu, the development significantly expands the city’s capability to host large-scale conferences, exhibitions, conventions and international events.
Beyond delivering new facilities, SM ASH will enhance Cebu's ability to compete for major events, creating new opportunities for business while reinforcing the Philippines' position as a destination for world-class entertainment and hospitality.
