In the heart of London, 1 Angel Lane stands as a testament to what can be achieved through innovation and collaboration. Tasked with creating a state-of-the-art office space for Nomura's European headquarters, the Mace Interiors team delivered an extraordinary 51,000 square metre fitout in just eight months. 

From the outset, the project faced a formidable challenge: to transform the space swiftly and efficiently, ensuring it was ready for occupancy by September 2010. The team worked tirelessly, coordinating with architects, designers, and contractors to meet the tight deadlines. The result was a high-quality, robust corporate environment for 4,500 employees, including 1,500 dealers. 

The fitout included trading positions over three floors, a 210-seat auditorium, a staff restaurant with private dining, a fully equipped gym, and extensive office space. Technical ingenuity was paramount, with bespoke LED lighting and 1,500 water-cooled dealer desks—the largest installation of its kind in Europe—ensuring optimal performance and reliability. 

Sustainability was also a key focus. The project employed considerate construction methods, managed air and dust pollution, used low-emission materials, and responsibly handled site waste. These efforts earned 1 Angel Lane a prestigious award from the British Council for Offices in 2011. 

Despite the rapid pace, the project maintained a high standard of quality, with the space continuing to impress clients and peers alike. 1 Angel Lane is not just an office; it is a beacon of what can be achieved with vision, dedication, and teamwork.
