Zaria Court is an African lifestyle brand aiming to reshape the future of African culture. It offers spaces where creativity, community, and commerce converge.

Set within the Kigali Sports City in Rwanda, Zaria Court’s flagship location is a bold new concept that blends sports, entertainment, and local culture into one dynamic ecosystem – all designed for Africa’s next generation.

The 2.9-hectare site has been transformed through the adaptive reuse of a building that was once an athlete’s hotel in the 1970s and after that, a decommissioned United Nations headquarters.

Mace Consult provided project and cost management services for the redevelopment, which includes an 80-room boutique hotel, three full-size community basketball courts, five-a-side football pitches, events centre, sports bar, authentic retail offerings, and vibrant public courtyards.

Sustainability and heritage conservation have been prioritised throughout, with the retaining and repurposing of existing structures breathing new life into the historic location.
