Mace appointed to £600m London council construction framework

Mace has been appointed to a new four year £600m London council framework.

The four year Education and Built Environment Framework is led by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and will be available for use by Barking and Dagenham and the other members of the East London Solutions Group (the London Boroughs of Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest), as well as the London Boroughs of Bexley, Greenwich, Lewisham, Enfield and Hackney and councils within Essex.

In addition the Framework will be available for use by academies, free schools, universities, colleges, third sector organisations, charities, mutuals and social enterprises located or administered from within all of these council areas.

The Framework will be used for works to schools and other educational premises as well as for other general construction works to a range of public buildings.

The Framework Agreement is divided into three lots and Mace has been appointed to Lot 3, which is for works over £10m.

Mace’s Business Unit Director for PREACH, Terry Spraggett, said, “This is another significant appointment for Mace’s Public Sector construction business and builds on our recent appointments to the Southern Construction Framework and London Construction Programme, the other two key local government and schools programmes in London and the South East.

“These three frameworks strengthen our position in the market as we support local authorities to meet their ambitions to provide high quality services for local residents.”
