Bill Heath listed on Top 50 power list

Chairman of Macro and managing director of Macro International, Bill Heath, has been voted the ninth most influential individual in the facilities management industry in the Middle East, by leading ITP publication Facilities Management Middle East.

The Top 50 list, which is “a ranking of the most influential individuals working within the Middle East’s FM sector” highlighted Macro and Bill Heath’s ability to stay “ahead of evolving market trends”. The list also noted Macro’s recent contract wins with The National Museum – Sultanate of Oman, and Evolvence Knowledge Investments for the management of three schools in the UAE.

Commenting on the ranking, Bill Heath said: “This is a competitive market with many respectable players so I am very honoured to be included in the Top 50 list. Facilities management in the Middle East is an exciting industry and Macro is fortunate enough to have a number of forward-thinking clients who value what we do. The challenge ahead will be to manage our rapidly expanding workforce as we continue to grow in the region.”

Bill Heath has over 35 years of experience in the property and construction industry and moved into facilities management in the early 1990s. In 2002, he set up the facilities management arm of Mace, Macro, with the support of former colleagues. 2008 he became chairman of Macro in the UK and managing director of Macro International in the Middle East, currently delivering FM services in the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Jordan.
