A golden time at RoSPA awards

Mace’s commitment to occupational health and safety has been recognised after picking up 13 awards at the prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) awards ceremony. This includes four gold medals for Mace's aviation, commercial offices, MEP and logistics business units, which indicate five consecutive years of winning a gold award.

The awards, which were presented at an awards ceremony in London as part of this year’s Health and Safety Week, represent another successful year for Mace.

The RoSPA awards recognise organisations' commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill-health prevention at work. The scheme is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas with judges considering entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

The 11 individual Mace business units that received gold awards were Mace Logistics, the residential, aviation, retail and technology sectors, MEP, Como interiors, commercial offices, international contracting, public sector (PREACH) and Macro. MSecure and our Major Projects business unit were accredited with silver awards.

Four Mace teams were also awarded the prestigious gold medal for winning five consecutive RoSPA gold awards. This is second consecutive time Mace Logistics has received this award after being honoured last year - and is its sixth consecutive gold medal in total.

Jason Millett, Mace’s Group Board Sponsor for Health and Safety, said: “Health and safety is one of our core values at Mace so it is fantastic to be once again recognised at the prestigious RoSPA awards. I congratulate all of our award winners on a job well done, particularly our gold medal winners and Mace Logistics for its second consecutive medal.”

Andy Brown, Group Health and Safety Director at Mace, added: “Well done and congratulations to all our winners for another successful year.  Each one of us have a part to play in ensuring our people go home safely at the end of the day, every day.  This is fitting recognition for their commitment to the Safety first Mace core value."
