Mark is Executive Chairman of Mace Construct and Chairman of Mace Consult. Between 2013 and 2025, he served as CEO of Mace Group. In 2026 Mace Consult became an independent business, majority owned by Goldman Sachs.
While CEO of Mace Group, he led more than a decade of growth and expansion which saw the business grow to generate more than £2.5bn of revenue and employ more than 8,000 colleagues around the world.
Mark has consistently championed change within the broader UK construction industry, driving innovation to improve delivery; while working to ensure that Mace continues to be a more productive, efficient and responsible company.
Mark gained his early experience in the commercial and aviation sectors and was the Deputy Programme Director for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
He was appointed in June 2022 as Co-Chair of the Construction Leadership Council, alongside the UK’s Minister for Construction, and in 2025 he established the Construction Skills Mission Board and serves as Co-Chair.
Mark has advised a number of government departments on construction and infrastructure delivery and is Vice-Chair of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership.
