Since 2014, Mace has provided comprehensive sustainability consultancy, helping Colonial achieve BREEAM In Use, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 certifications. This partnership has led to a 64% carbon footprint reduction and the delivery of numerous green office spaces. 

Mace's 360º approach includes strategic consultancy, continuous improvement plans, and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) on new developments. These efforts ensure Colonial meets international standards and addresses potential environmental issues early in the project lifecycle. 

Moreover, Mace has played a pivotal role in biodiversity management by developing and implementing measures to protect and promote biodiversity across Colonial’s properties. Alongside biodiversity efforts, Mace has developed and overseen waste management strategies that have enabled Colonial to minimise waste and promote recycling and reuse. With over 70% of construction products sourced responsibly and over 80% of construction and demolition waste recovered.
