Our own data shows that this digital-first approach improves project performance by up to 30%, optimising delivery sequencing and reducing rework. More importantly, it fosters a digital culture: breaking down silos and enabling faster, smarter decision-making from day one. 

From insight to intelligent action 

Delivering smarter, faster, and safer projects requires more than data; it requires insight. AI and machine learning now sit at the heart of Mace Construct’s ambition to improve productivity by 30% through digital automation by 2030. 

We are actively deploying AI-enabled tools that blend human expertise with digital intelligence. On several of our live projects, we are piloting 360-degree site scanning technology that automates progress tracking and forecasts programme timelines - enabling teams to validate performance with precision and intervene early when deviations arise. 

At the heart of this transformation is our Data Hub: a centralised repository that aggregates raw data across our live projects, from scheduling and logistics to crane utilisation and sequencing. This intelligence is visualised through dynamic dashboards, enabling project leaders to course-correct in real time and reduce risk exposure. 

Our Project Data Hub extends this capability further, combining federated models, time-lapse imagery, and digital rehearsals into a collaborative environment. This integrated platform not only improves transparency and engagement but supports a data-led operating model where insight drives performance.  

Together, these tools offer a comprehensive view of project performance, empowering teams and stakeholders to engage with project data, improve transparency, and drive outcomes with greater accuracy.  

Building smarter with integrated digital intelligence 

With the convergence of AI, real-time data, and collaborative digital platforms, construction delivery is becoming increasingly predictable and resilient. 

At Mace Construct, we are embedding data intelligence into every stage of the lifecycle; from design and procurement to installation and handover. 

Our Digital Control Rooms provide a central interface capturing live project performance data measuring quality, productivity, and programme milestones. Activity such as weekly steel or cladding installation rates -are tracked and benchmarked against planned targets, enabling immediate intervention when required. On average, we digitally track and trace around 8,000 components on each project—including precast elements and structural steelwork, contributing to a 10% uplift in productivity. 

On-site delivery is further enhanced by our Field Management System, which captures live data on inspections and work package progress, embedding quality assurance directly into the build process. 

Moreover, digital rehearsals and model-driven planning are supporting our teams to optimise complex sequencing before work starts on site. These tools also unlock new opportunities in sustainability, allowing teams to identify material reuse strategies and make lower-carbon specification choices from the earliest stages. 

A data-led, AI-enabled future
