Assistant Project Manager - Education
To control, manage and coordinate the project development and delivery from preconstruction, design development to handover and close out, ensuring the works are delivered safely, on time and to agreed budget, whilst maintaining the highest quality standards.
Assistant project manager based in Syndey, Australia to support the Mace project managers and senior project managers across a variety of projects, initially working in the education sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reporting to the project manager and leadership team, working on the strategy and delivery of an education project.
- Assisting in the delivery of both project and programme management.
- Maintaining that the highest standards of health and safety are considered as a priority through all stages of the project.
- Supervising general project issues and contract administration.
- Ensuring project/programme is kept up to date. Monitoring budgets and preparing reports.
- Assisting the project manager in monitoring and coordinating all key aspects of the project, including but not limited to, cost, value, risk, logistics, neighbour relations, safety, quality, M&E, design and environment.
- Monitoring and identifying risk in projects.
- Coordinating timely and communicating with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensuring close-out and practical completion schedules are completed and issued.
Undergraduate degree level qualifications in building, construction, engineering, architecture or relevant. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships with suppliers, colleagues and clients. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
