Are you a cost professional looking to step up in to a senior level role? Are you a quantity surveyor from a main contracting background looking to move in to a consultancy environment?
Mace is looking to recruit a senior cost consultant/quantity surveyor to join our well established commercial management consultancy team on a long standing defence contract in Suffolk/Norfolk.
Our role is to provide commercial administration to the contract management plan using NEC3 ECC Option C.
Your responsibilities will include:
Contract management and administration
Amending and managing the contracts and contract changes.
Providing commercial advice and guidance as required.
Ensuring all commercial arrangements represent best value for money.
Ensuring compliance with regulations and policy as well as commercial best practice.
Providing early warnings/risk management and compensation events.
Undertaking effective supplier management.
Working collaboratively with other members of the team including project, technical, finance and specialist staff to deliver customer requirements.
Undertaking effective stakeholder engagements.
Engaging stakeholders on planning and contract administration.
Seeking to improve commercial processes and ways of working to make them as efficient and effective as possible.
Managing the resources to secure best value for money and best use.
Providing accurate and timely inputs to financial and commercial reporting.
Providing procurement reviews alongside design reviews.
Monitoring against tender cost constraints.
Liaising with VE/VM activity to understand impact/consequence.
Managing KPI measurement and reporting.
Ensuring payment processing.
Managing the maximum price target cost contracts.
Providing cost control.
You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a cost or commercial management consultancy background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
