Mace Plus celebrates Teddington School topping out

Mace Plus, the contracting arm of Mace Group, has celebrated the topping out of Teddington School with a traditional ceremony. The event commemorated the school reaching its structural height and now marks the halfway point of the rebuild.
Amongst the 125 invited guests were staff from the school and representatives from the London Borough of Richmond including Madam Mayor and Nick Whitfield, Director of Children's Services and Culture.
In keeping with tradition, the final section of concrete was laid and an evergreen bough was tied to a timber post to ward off evil spirits from the new building. Mace Plus presented Head of Teddington School, Richard Weeks, with a commemorative silver trowel by Mace Plus to close the ceremony.
