Como completes project for Rreef

17/12/2008

Como has just completed extensive refurbishment and fit out to Cat A of Rreef's 41 Moorgate building achieving practical completion on 14 October 08. Rreef is the global investment management business of Deutsche Bank's asset management division. The former tenant in this building was German bank Unicredit (formerly HypoVereinsbank) and Como was also involved in the fit out at Moor House when they moved from this location.

The Como team undertook the removal of existing cladding from the 1970's building and the installation of a new granite façade cladding and windows. Also included in the scope of works was the extension to existing 4th and 5th floors with new 6th floor meeting room pod, new roof surface, double lift installation and a high spec finish to main receptions, WC and meeting room.

The site's location in one of the City's busiest roads presented a continuous challenge and careful planning was required to ensure effective deliveries to site. Six crane lifts took place during the project and this made close liaison with the City of London necessary to arrange road closures.

Steve Root, Como managing director, said ‘This was a tricky project due to the location of the site but the end result looks fantastic and the client is delighted - congratulations to the project team'.
