Como was set up by its parent company Mace Ltd in January 2003 to extend their consultancy and management offer into construction delivery.

Originally operating under three divisions - Interiors, Construction, Homes - Como introduced the Mace brand of progressive, innovative construction practice right into the heart of the contracting world.

Tackling fixed price and managed contracts with characteristic style and commitment, Como quickly expanded across a range of markets, turning over £80m in 2007 and employing over 130 staff.

The business was restructured in June 2008 to provide purely fit out and internal refurbishment services with the construction / homes divisions merging with other parts of the Mace Group. The restructure demonstrates Como's commitment to delivering specialist quality services in the fit out market.
