Emergency Services

  • Mace delivered a new headquarters for Hampshire Constabulary.

Like other public sector estates, the emergency services are also experiencing a workplace transition. There are changing work styles, technologies and evolving work cultures that need to be addressed to ultimately deliver solutions that are flexible, space efficient and sustainable. The challenge of providing a nurturing and efficient workplace against a tighter public purse means new and innovative thinking is more valuable than ever. The overriding commitment to public safety means that making these efficiencies within an emergency services environment requires special understanding of the operational challenges involved.

Our portfolio within the public sector

Mace is delivering work through scores of local authority frameworks across the UK, delivering real value for money and improved efficiency. Whether a project involves delivery of a single office building or the strategic rationalisation of an entire estate, as provided for clients such as Hampshire Constabulary and Merseyside Police, we have a wealth of experience in managing the delivery of such environments. Further commissions for the emergency services have seen our contracting team deliver a new patrol base at Fresh Wharf in Barking for the Metropolitan Police; the design and construction of environmentally sustainable fire and rescue stations for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue; and a tripartite depot for the Wrexham Ambulance Service that will be shared with other local emergency services.

We can take a project from inception through construction to completion and the ongoing management of the facilities.
