Baskerville House
Mace has project managed the redevelopment of Birmingham's Baskerville House, one of the most prominent landmarks in the city, and is now successfully delivering other projects for client, Targetfollow.
Baskerville House is an impressive 1930s grade II listed building which was formerly the home of Birmingham City Council. Working with client Targetfollow, Mace has project managed the development of 200,000 ft2 of prime office accommodation. The development has attained a BREEAM ‘very good' rating, helped by a state of the art chilled ceiling system and two atria that allow natural light into the core of the building.
The redeveloped building offers floor plates of 16,000 to 31,000ft2 over six floors including an additional two floors in steel and glass on the roof. Baskerville House serves the high end office market offering potential sufficient space for company headquarters or multi-let office developments.
The completed Baskerville House project won the prestigious 'refurbished / recycled workspace' regional award at the British Council of Offices (BCO) awards dinner in 2007 and the 'office development of the year' award at the inaugural Midlands Property Awards also in 2007.
"Following the recent successful completion of Baskerville House and
particularly with the relations strengthened in the last three years on
this project in Birmingham and other projects in London, we are now
working with Mace on a number of our other current major development
projects around the country." Reza Salahi, construction director,
