Information

Mace has been commissioned by Arcapita Bank to act as project managers on the Bahrain Bay infrastructure works and Arcapita Bank Headquarters as part of the overall Bahrain Bay development located on the north shore of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Arcapita Bank Headquarters has been designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill and consists of 7 floors, including a plant floor and a basement. Floors 1-5 each provide a panoramic view of the waterfront from the south side of the building. The building will consist of offices, conference facilities, an auditorium and a restaurant.

The building will serve as a prestigious landmark and with its cutting edge services design it will become a benchmark for sustainable development in the Middle East. The building will be easily accessible by road and by water, just one of the many benefits that the building has by being within Bahrain Bay.

The headquarters building is part of a much larger development of 42 parcels which will be progressively developed from 2008 to 2017.The aim is to develop a masterplanned mixed-use waterfront district and to provide a new standard of urban lifestyle for the region.

Mace has been appointed to manage the design and construction of the infrastructure consisting of reclamation, roads, bridges, and utilities. The programme duration is 30 months commencing January 2008 with completion in June 2010.

It is anticipated that Mace will be appointed on further Bahrain Bay projects as the development gathers pace through 2008.
