A new suit on Savile Row
Working for our client Stanhope plc, Mace has been commissioned to deliver a high-end commercial office building situated on the world famous Savile Row in the heart of Westminster.
The 23 Savile Row project involves the demolition of Fortress House, the former English Heritage headquarters and redevelopment of the entire site to accommodate a new mixed use development sensitively designed to enhance this historic area of London.
The new development will consist of a six story (plus basement) building complete with atrium. The façade is to be clad with Portland stone and granite selected to have both modern appeal and be in keeping with the area.
On this project Mace is appointed as both the development partner to Stanhope (New Burlington Developments Limited) and construction manager to take a lead role in delivering the construction of the new development as principal contractor.
Mace has also recently adopted the role of CDM consultant, logistics provider (through mlogic) and mechanical trade contractor (through mseven).
Practical completion is due in March 2009.
Features:
- High quality Portland stone façade
- High profile development in a world famous area of London
- A BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’ for the new development’s design
