Mace Plus is delivering a substantial refurbishment and fit-out project for our client Standard Life Investments in the centre of the City of London.
This modern commercial building project comprises a mixed use development of office space and sub-divisible retail spaces.
The project involves the strip out and refurbishment of an existing office block which includes the addition of three extra floors to the top. The building will be fitted out to a Category-A level and shell only to the retail units at ground floor and basement levels.
The scheme is over 9,700m2 in gross floor area. Levels basement to eight will be retained whilst the roof level will be demolished. Three new levels will be added levels nine, ten and the roof. The existing frame and floors are reinforced concrete whilst the new frame will be fabricated from steel. Site logistical constraints are very challenging, working adjacent to one of London's tallest building projects.
