ADNEC Capital Gate Hotel Phase 3

Mace is proud to be delivering the next phase of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre project, the iconic Capital Gate feature tower. This ingenious tower will rise from the ground with a unique "twisted" diagrid design. 
The tower has 33 levels including basement. From Level 18 up to level 33 there will be a 5 star Hyatt hotel with 200 bedrooms. The lower levels will include a mezzanine floor, plus a communication area and office space. The 19th floor of the hotel hosts a fully featured spa and the tower also boasts 3 restaurants.

Technical details
The total constructed area will be 55000m2 and the total height will be 162.5m. The building employs 16 elevators and 2 escalators. From Level 18 up to level 33 will be a glazed atrium inside the building. The façade is intended to imitate diamonds, which will be glazed and connected with the steel structure which is connected with the concrete core. On the east side will be a splash which will be connected to a new canopy of the existing grandstand. The levels will be with double floors in the office areas for more flexibility. In the basement will be all BOH areas for the hotel operator including the main kitchen. The plant rooms will be in the basement, the 1st level and the 17th level. These are double volume. The 18th floor will be the reception area with the main Hyatt Hotel restaurant. The 19th floor will host a spa and an outdoor pool. The foundations will have approximately 470 piles, 600/1000 diameter with a 2m high raft. The core will be post-tensioned.
