Como completed a high quality re-stack and fit out project for a major American investment bank (client confidential). The project comprised the upgrade of dealer space to provide 900 trading positions over two levels in an occupied building. The works were split into three phases and included the strip out of existing high level services, ceiling installation, partitions and finishes. Installation of a new chilled beam system took place in conjunction with the installation of the new ceiling, partitions, services and finishes. The refurbishment of toilet cores and common areas were included.
The main challenge on the project was working directly over the buildings main CER room and with trading desks in situ. It was critical to maintain 'business as usual' and minimum disruption to the client's critical services.
Midway through the project, the client instructed a significant change which introduced CO2 desk cooling systems instead of chilled beams. The installation of this innovative technology required a collaborative approach between Como and the professional team to ensure that the correct design was adopted.
