Mace Technology project hits another successful milestone

The Mace Technology team responsible for delivering the award winning Morgan Stanley project has successfully hit another milestone, this time for client Rackspace with the early achievement of RFI or ready for installation.

This £13m project got underway in August 2007 and involves the formation of a new 3,200 square metre first floor within an existing warehouse in Slough. The new floor will accommodate three 1,600 square metre data halls with associated plant space. This milestone records the team's achievement of delivering the critical areas for the first data hall one week ahead of programme.

The project is now entering the final commissioning and IST stages in preparation for final handover in June 2008.

Gary Boyd of client Rackspace said: “We are delighted that this important milestone has been met which has meant that we can start the installation and programming of our equipment ready to go live in June. My sincere thanks go to the whole of the Mace team and trade contractors who have worked so hard to ensure that no matter what problem came along, the programme was maintained.”
