Mace PM makes the grade as Future Leader 2008

Mace is very proud that one of our project managers was named overall winner of the 2008 Future Leaders competition, announced at a celebratory lunch on Friday 28th March.
Project manager Catherine Tallis was one of forty finalists in four categories (architecture, construction, engineering and quantity surveying), a number which included not one but two other Mace people: Julia Middleton was also a finalist in the construction category and Ian White was a finalist in the engineering category.
The judges kept the finalists guessing as to the overall winner, only indicating that the winner was a 'she' in the midst of an introduction that confirmed their decision had been unanimous and was based on the person's knowledge, charisma during interview and demonstrable ability to learn from past experiences. on winning the award Catherine described herself as "shocked but totally thrilled".
All finalists went through a three stage competition that comprised a written submission, a series of challenges and an interview with the judging panel for their category. Congratulations to all three finalists for making it through and to Catherine for standing head and shoulders above the rest!
