Meet Mace at BSEC 2011 | Mace
With changes in government direction, cancelled education programmes and increased financial pressures, the education sector is facing an uncertain time. If there ever was a time to attend BSEC – the building schools exhibition, it is now.
Mace will be joining key stakeholders including teachers, sponsors and local authorities to talk over the issues and share valuable insights and experience at the BSEC conference and exhibition at the ExCeL, London, 23-24th February 2011.
At Mace we're keen to understand what key stakeholders and people working within education are thinking about the current issues affecting the sector, so we ran a perception survey - the results of which we will launch at BSEC. Do people believe the government will achieve its predicted 30-40% savings across the education sector? What effect will free schools have on the educational landscape? What is most important to the education sector right now? Find out the results on our stand (#322) at BSEC.
Although the budget for schools has increased from £35bn to £39bn, the seemingly positive results of the comprehensive spending review mask a downturn in capital expenditure for the education sector. Finding economies will be a challenge, and it will take innovation to tackle the implications of the large-scale challenges currently facing the education sector.
If you are attending BSEC please visit Mace at stand 322, located close to the local authority hub. Various senior members of Mace’s education team will be present including Mark Castle, Tim Laycock, David Rumsey, and Terry Spraggett to discuss your requirements and answers your questions.
