Mace grows business in Peru

Mace, well known for delivering complex retail projects across the world, has been appointed by the Peruvian Ekimed Group to deliver the project and construction management services on the “El Quinde Shopping Plaza Ica”, which will open its doors in April 2012.

The new shopping mall will be located in the city of Ica, about 350 km south of Lima, Peru. The project covers a built area of 31,000 square metres, and incorporates 50 shops, supermarkets, cinemas, as well as 600 car parking spaces. El Quinde Shopping Plaza Ica will significantly expand the existing shopping and leisure options in the area.

This commission represents the consolidation of Mace’s presence in South America and in particular its operations in Peru. In words of Jesús Pariente, country manager for Peru, “I’m sure that for Mace, this project will be the first of several and successful projects in Peru and in the wider Latin American market as a whole”. 

Mace is also thriving in North America with recent commissions in the facilities management market.
