Judging efficiency at upcoming council awards

  • Mace has worked with local authorities across the UK to add value to their business.

Mace will help recognise the efforts of innovative councils this year as a judge and sponsor of the Local Government Chronicle (LGC) Awards 2011.

Mark Holmes, Mace’s chief operating officer for consultancy, is one of three panel judges who will select the local government winner in the LGC Efficiency Award category.

“Mace has a history of working with local government, and is proud to be supporting these awards that recognise council achievements,” Mark said.

“We are especially pleased to be part of the Efficiency Award as we have worked with a number of local authorities across the UK to help them drive out waste and add real value to their business.”

 The councils shortlisted for the Efficiency Award are:

  • Trafford Council
  • Waverley Borough Council
  • Luton Borough Council
  • London Borough of Croydon
  • South Hams District and West Devon Borough Councils
  • Durham County Council
  • Birmingham City Council
  • West Sussex County Council

The LGC Awards recognise the achievements and successes of local government. Award winners will be announced at an event on the 23rd March 2011 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
