IT Manager (Ref: DCIT1) | Mace
Mace is looking for a talented developer capable of designing, developing and deploying new web based user interfaces to replace the front-end client of a legacy bespoke developed MS Access based system.
The key accountabilities of this role will be to:
• Develop .Net user interface components
• Work with the IT Systems Development Manager and Lead Developer to design, build, test and deploy new user interfaces in line with the solutions architecture.
• Create design documentation, including wireframe models.
Other projects within the business change programme for 2012 include:
• Enhancements to the following implementations: Bid pipeline, Legal Contracts and Expenses
• Development of a H&S System
• Implementation of HR system, self service capability

The right person for the role will have experience of working as a Microsoft .NET developer. The successful candidate will be working as part of a small development team, interfacing with business analysts and project managers to ensure the solution meets business requirements and timescales.
Development experience using:
• .NET 3.5+
• ASP.NET (Web Forms)
• C#
• MS SQL Server 2008
• Visual Studio 2010
• HTML
• jQuery
• Experience of using Team Foundation Server
• Microsoft certifications an advantage
Database Development:
• Experience of using SQL Server 2008 Stored Procedures, Triggers and Replication
• Experience in SSAS, SSIS and SSRS an advantage
• Database development skills including testing and deployment
• Experience of building a database functioning as a master data repository and transactional data repository.
• Ability to provide exemplar code with documentation
• Development experience in database design and database reporting
MS Systems Integration:
• Experience of integration projects, integrating with back end legacy systems and other technologies together seamlessly
• Experience of synchronising multiple data stores, in real time and in batch.
• Experience in writing ASP.net and client side scripting
• Understanding of deployment, change and configuration management processes (complete Application Lifecycle Management)
• Understanding and practice of testing (unit, integration, load, etc.)
• Experience of XML
