Alex is a very experienced director, having held board positions at Killby & Gayford, Wates and now Mace. He has been building data centres for around 20 years. Starting his career at the London Stock Exchange, he delivered many of the LSE's off site DC's. Moving onto a Project Management company in the City, Spectrum Projects, he delivered two DC/Disaster recovery centres for a Major international Investment bank, followed by a number of large Comms rooms and data halls for Telecoms companies. He then moved onto a Regional Contractor in Essex, Killby & Gayford where he managed a four year framework agreement to Design and Build leading edge Laboratories at the Sanger Institute for some of the World's leading scientists, including the World renowned Cancer Genome laboratory.

At Wates, initially a Board Director for the Interior fit out business, Wates Interiors, he set up the Technology division and delivered at the time, the largest High Density data centre in Europe, second only to an HD facility built by the CIA. The facility combined chilled water and CO2 cooling to the same HD technical area, which at the time had not been done before. Alex has built many DC's for major hosting companies, financial organisations and insurance market makers. Now at Mace, he will draw on his experience in data centre delivery, to enhance Mace Technology's reputation, win new business and help expand the technology offering.

Specialties:Data Centre delivery and Commissioning - Alex has been a guest speaker at Datacentredynamics conferences in Frankfurt, Amsterdam and London and is currently co-authoring the CIBSE Data Centre guide.
