Darren Bedford

Darren is an Associate Director with 15 years experience undertaking projects in all market sectors of the UK construction industry.

Prior to joining Sense, Darren spent 8 years at a leading cost consultancy business applying his skills to major projects including a turnkey European Headquarters for American software company Computer Associates, the Emirates Stadium for Arsenal FC, and the Paddington Central shell and core development for Development Securities.

In his time at Sense Darren has been the lead cost consultant for Ropemaker a new 900,000 ft² shell and core commercial development for British Land in the City of London. Darren’s team has also recently been delivering a series of fit out projects for the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Darren has managed these projects from inception to completion providing cost planning, procurement and post contract cost management advice.

In particular, Darren specialises in the front end feasibility and procurement stages of projects, providing advice and guidance on project costs, funding sources and cash flow profiling, advice on procurement methods, tendering procedures and contractual arrangements.

Darren’s track record on projects has given him extensive experience on projects procured through single and two stage arrangements across standard forms and bespoke forms of contract.
